Trekking with Donkeys…
This Donkey Trek is an extremely engaging adventure designed for secondary school learners with the aim to experience nature and to learn.
Together with donkeys the group will face the adventure of trekking, where learners will have to find and use their personal and group resources and strength while solving all those unexpected problems that will appear during the trek.
What will we learn?
How to lead and load donkeys.
How to pitch a tent.
How to build a one match fire.
Campfire cooking.
How to use a compass and map reading. (Basic navigation)
Basic first aid.
Animal wellfare.
furthermore on route we will
visit a boutique wine farm
overnight on a few working Ostrich, Cattle and sheep farms.
Spend an evening star gazing.
Spend a day with a Ranger.
Follow in the footsteps of the San.
Campfire story telling.
Swim in rivers and farm dams.
Make friends for life…
